Stars of the Future.

DOMENICO BERARDI

Now a Juventus forward, Berardi spent all of last season at Sassuolo and helped keep the team in the division. Scored 16 in 30 last season and 11 in 39 during the 2012-13 season in Serie B. Only 19 and will soon earn a cap for Italy.

MICHY BATSHUAYI

Formerly a Standard Liege player, Michy has recently signed for Marseille having been linked to clubs such as Everton, Newcastle and Arsenal. Michy scored 39 in 97 for Standard Liege with 21 of them in the league goals last season. At 20 his only downfall is his attitude off the pitch. Another young Belgian who will be starting alongside Lukaku or Benteke in years to come.

ABDUL MAJEED WARIS

22 year old, Ghanaian striker for Spartak Moscow, who has already played 14 times for his nation, but remains relatively unknown. His scoring record is good, with 30 goals in 63 for BK Hacken, finishing top-scorer in 2012/13 and scoring 9 in 16 for Valenciennes. Playing in a variety of leagues, BK in Swedish Allsvenskan and Valenciennes in Ligue 1 and 16 games in the Russian league, will certainly help him on his way to becoming a Black Stars legend!

YANNICK FERREIRA-CARRASCO

20 year old, Belgian winger, who plays for rich French club Monaco. Yannick has played 51 games for Monaco, scoring 12 times and assisting 10. He has also played for Belgium at U17, 18, 19 and 21 levels, with 1 goal in 10 games for the U21’s. Last season he scored 3 in 13 and assisted 3 in Ligue 1. Ferreira-Carrasco is also very skilful and fast on the ball.

STEFANOS KAPINO

6 feet 5 inches tall, Greek goalkeeper, who plays for FSV Mainz 05. Extremely talented, uses his height to his advantage and has fantastic reflexes. Represented Greece twice at senior level and played 45 games for Panathinaikos. Holds the record for youngest Panathinaikos goalkeeper at 17 years, 6 months and 9 days.  At the young age of 20, Kapino will continue to improve and probably secure a place in a top club soon.

ALONSO ESCOBOZA (Sometimes known as Jesus Escoboza)

21 year old, Mexican left-winger, Escoboza plays club football at Santos Laguna in the Liga MX. Fast on and off the ball and with a good finish, Alonso fits perfectly into the Mexican senior squad. Could move to a European team soon, Alonso played a key part in Laguna’s season scoring 4 times in 19 games in all competitions. Represented Mexico 3 times at senior level, scoring 1 goal against Finland and assisting vs. New Zealand.

DORIA

19 year old, Brazilian centre-back who plays for Brazilian team Botafogo. 6 feet 2 and very strong, Doria could solve Brazil’s defence problems if he continues and improves on his solid games for Botafogo. Great tackler and header of the ball, he is already a complete centre-back, at 19. Played 72 games for Botafogo scoring 4 times and Doria also earned a senior cap representing Brazil against Bolivia as a substitute. Also showed good leadership qualities as he captained the Brazil U20 team who won the 2013 Toulon Tournament. The Toulon tournament featured nations like France, Belgium, Portugal and Colombia.
